Immigration Evaluations

There are several instances in which a clinical evaluation conducted by a Licensed Mental Health Professional can support your case before United States Citizen and Immigration Services (U.S.C.I.S).  The purpose of the evaluation is to better understand the psychological impact the immigration process has on the individual and on families.

I offer psychological evaluations, which can be performed in either English or Spanish for immigration proceedings in:

  • Hardship (Waivers, Provisional Waivers and Cancellation Removal) 601-A
  • Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)
  • U-Visas
  • T-Visas
  • Asylum

Process

1. One or Two 90-minute Interview Appointments with the person being evaluated.

2. Follow-Up Telephone Communication regarding any missing information from the interview.

3. Collateral Communication with the attorney/paralegal on the case.

4. The written draft will be sent to the attorney/paralegal to cross-reference and confirm information (i.e. dates and names).

5. A copy of the finalized evaluation will be mailed to the attorney/paralegal and another copy will be sent to the client.

Evaluations will typically be completed in two-three weeks. Urgent request can be accommodated at an additional cost.
